Is there not any way at all for the techies at Chorus, to change our line profile, as I'm confident, that will solve our issues we've been having. I've solved the high ping to google issue. We recently returned from South Africa, and I found that I discovered that I forgot to remove the South African unotelly settings, and replace them with Aussie or NZ ones.

The new Huawei modem arrived yesterday, however our sync speed is still hopeless, we sync at about 29mb, where as we used to sync at close to 40, and our ping is still highish. Is there not a way, for them to change our line profile, or is that impossible?

Thanks

It's highly unlikely that DLM will make a significant difference to your sync speed. Obviosuly it can affect ping. The best thing you can do is leave it alone. DLM is always running.

And no, they won't manually set profiles.

My speed test after 10 days joining VDSL also noted in modem downstream line rate went from 40mb to 65mb not much difference in upstream line rate

very nice 17a line! interesting that your not seeing about 50 or so on speedtests though.

Are those tests on Wifi? You should get near connect rates for VDSL.

As for the OP, Just because at one point you had a high sync rate, doesnt mean it is stable there.
DLM will always run on your line, and will adjust your connection over time. If DLM deems that it is unstable, then it drops the INP/Delay and/or adjusts profile.
This is dependant on line conditions.

My connection has gone from 68Mbit down to 61Mbit, so i've lost about 10%, it really is up to a number of factors.
Have you called your RSP and had a technician booked in to check your wiring? Bear in mind, that if no fault is found it can be quite expensive. You could also get a
contractor to check out your wiring, to rule out perhaps corroded connections on your splitter, bad internal wiring (even though you have a splitter, bad internal wiring *can* still have some impact), etc...

that will explain the speeds then as you will be maxing out the wifi connection, test via an Ethernet cable i would expect close to 60mbps over a speed test using a cable
