Does the data in your current data packs include 4G for free?

I am getting 4G in central Wellington.

I am assuming it is enabled on the Telecom network so gets Telecom coverage? Which unfortunately means a black hole of nothing 4G related at home in Porirua.

[edit] On HTC M8 btw  [/edit]

LivingSkinny: Hi

Yep very excited to get 4G enabled.  We're up and running with Android and Windows devices but just need to get some settings changed for iPhones.

Cheers

Paul.

What about Blackberry's - will they get 4G too?

Yabanize: Got connected to it. Got a speedtest, it wasnt that great because I had low coverage at the time. Still 24.86/6.93 is pretty good for 1 bar of coverage. This is awesome :D

Just watch out for the data use with speed tests on 4G. Could easily go through 70Mb or more per test!

Sorry for the delay - took a while to track one down to test :)

Yes the Blackberry is working too once we updated the settings.

Smart move overall, shifting heavy data users on skinny over to 4G will take load off the 3G network, so everyone should get better speeds.

That makes sense. Now we just need 4G in Whakatane because 3G is dog slow here :(

Edit: Coming on the 30th, apparently! :D

Just got 4g at the oval in Dunedin. 32 down, much better than the 6 down I get on adsl at home.

It was all good until when doing a speed test I got an text from skinny starting that I only had 20Mb left and literally 2 seconds later being disconnected for being over my limit.

LOL. Maybe I need to slow the speed back down.
