For a single user or a small group of users, your HDD / SSD cannot read / write at that speed, so real download / upload is bottlenecked by the computers anyway :)

in the case of that speed test, finding target servers with the bandwith to test against is more of a challenge!


file IO is a big one though, this machine in particular is due to have a new cached HBA put into it to push those IO speeds.

when we were first building it up, had a 60GB ram disk running, that sure flew on our tests!
