tardtasticx: If its like the past ones I assume it'll be available launch day. Went to the iPhone 5 launch at the Victoria St store in Auckland CBD, was an interesting experience.

Thinking of buying from Apple directly this year as not too keen on signing a contract. But if Spark offers it on prepaid/pay monthly right away I'll switch to pay monthly and stay with them most likely.

We will offer 12 or 24 month interest free. I think that also applies if on Smart OneBill, I'll need to check that (as smart one bill is on the account)

AFAIK the only requirement is that the phone is on your account. Launch day is irrelevant, and an open term plan is on your account so is eligible. On an open term plan you are not on contract, but if you ported the phone elsewhere or cancelled the plan, you will be billed for the remaining interest free payments

I said on my post "we will offer" I should have stated "we do offer" . Mobile Interest Free Payments is a standard feature we offer, its not just for the iPhone 6, as some may have felt my post inferred. Its standard.

AFAIK the only requirement is that the phone is on your account. Launch day is irrelevant, and an open term plan is on your account so is eligible. On 21 September, yes if using the same number. Or call 123 and see what the ETF will be. It may be low, or zero, I don't know sorry, am at home.

When we bought my wife's 5s on this plan, we had to go to a pay monthly even though we do have internet with them.

I have a tricky hypothetical question; we have two Smart OneBill accounts, I have the 5S on one of them, if I get a 6+ interest free on the other line, could I swap the phones around?
Telecom's terms say the phones must be connected to the same account, do they check the IMEI (or whatever) to confirm this, would they care???

If you have a contract with us, or a mobile interest free payment, you are tied to that based on your account number with us. The IMEI is not linked. You are linked, your account number . In other words the contracted etc is between you and Spark not the imei and Spark

If you wish to purchase ANY phone that is priced at $199 or more, you can buy on 12 or 24 month interest free terms. The plan must be on account, which is a monthly plan, or if you chose a Value Pack with Smart Onebill (which puts the value Pack on your account). That it is an iPhone 6, and on release date, is not relevant.

I think I worded that rather poorly.

I have two separate Smart One Bill accounts, that have nothing to do with each other at all.

On account A, I have an interest free 5S which still has a while to go. What I want to do is get a 6+ on account B and then swap the phones around. As it says here: http://help.spark.co.nz/app/answers/detail/a_id/21231/~/interest-free-mobile-phones-(deferred-payments)

The interest free mobile device must be on a Spark postpaid plan until the device is paid in full
Disconnection of the mobile from the Spark account will result in the remaining installments to be due for immediate payment

I don't want to get a 6+ and swap them around only to have to pay off both phones "immediately".

I was more meaning the ability to buy the iPhone 6 on open term/pre-pay on launch day. I'm not too keen on the interest free deferred payment, but I used that when I got my 5 on launch day.

If the iPhone 6 isn't available to prepay/open term customers immediately, when will it be?
