I am definitely logged in on my xtra email YahooID - using my xtra email address.

I have tried entering directly and via the Bubble links and via the Bubble services management page and get the same result.

However, I didn't download the Bubble software and I am using an unsupported operating system and browser (Opera on Linux) - but I don't see why that should make a difference to which level of service I get.

And yes - I have partially changed my mind - still much prefer iGoogle and Gmail - but Picasa is somewhat limited in upload options - so I am evaluating alternatives.

No software is needed and there's no OS dependency. I suggest you contact their Help Desk then...

OpenD, please e-mail me a screenshot of your standard Flickr account status page and your Xtra user name. I will pass this on to someone at Telecom New Zealand.

Hey all,
My First Post(of many I am sure)......ah...doesn't this feel great....
An official Geekzone Blogger :)

Some insight to your discussion....

Main Accounts have 1 Gig of Storage - Sub Accounts all have 30MB each.
As stated above 5 Meg filesize limit is standard - this is to stop the sharing of larger files namely "your Favourite Episode of Dexter"
The reason some of you were seeing 30MB and now 1Gig was another little niggler on the migration...but it is correct now - 1 GB!!! love it.....passport photos, Drivers licence etc....safe and globally get-able

Flickr Pro is standard with Yahoo!Xtra Broadband - with all accounts, both Main and Sub!! That means all the fam can snap till their hearts are content....I will use it to store all my originals of the girls....knowing full well I can log on in 20 years for their 21st birthday and print off the original high-res....

Some insight into me....
I used to work for Telecom, as a technical training specialist, based in Wellington....have just left to become a full time home daddy....and lovin every minute of it.
Checkout this article, I was quoted :) http://computerworld.co.nz/news.nsf/netw/FAB33A249042A50CCC257340001656FA

Why this is quite an important time, is for the first time I have to actually pay for my broadband offering.......and even with the other yummy offers in the market, this Yahoo!Xtra offer contains enough value for me to keep my coin....

Let me know how you get on Mauricio....if you have no joy I can see if I can help out....
Till Next time...
DG

Welcome zimbokiwi. Lucky you get to play stay home dad!

I didnt realise that sub accounts could also have their own Flickr account. Not sure if that will benefit me at the moment but is handy info to have. I too have just uploaded 300MB of photos but cant say I will rely solely on flickr for safekeeping - got the same pics on discs, external HDD and computer.

Only problem now is my upload speed is 128k - very painful exercise uploading.

Yerp. Definatly busteroony.

Makes me wonder since my validation email had no clickable link, or manual update info when I signed up for it if I have not been verified properly.

Had never had a flickr acct, so had no choice but to login using my @xtra.co.nz. And it keeps offering me a $25 migration :)

I have just checked again and I now have a Flickr Pro status account.

Thanks, freitasm, for taking this up with Telecom.

Cheers

Awesome - nice result!
I have been using it and loving it - of particular use to me is the flickr uploadr tool - love it - just drag and drop and leave it to do its thing. Available at http://www.flickr.com/tools/

Both my Flickr and Briefcase is showing the premium services. I think there must have been a glitch, but it is all fixed now.

After signing up with bubble and merging the Flickr account I already had, I still did not get Pro. I emailed Xtra and after a lot of emails with them saying it should work and me saying it didn't, I just logged onto flickr yesterday and found my account is now magically Pro.
