I have been exploring Flickr from the new Xtra Bubble - but only seem to be able to access the free account level and looks like you still have to pay for Flickr Pro - even though Telecom says you get it for free

Has anyone managed to get a free Flickr Pro account through Xtra? If so, how?

Or are these 'goodies' still to come?

There is a similar issue with the briefcase only showing 30MB - not the pro level of 1Gig.

A bit more exploring and there does seem to be significantly less than promised

The Bubble promo page says nothing about a staged roll out of services and mentions both Flickr Pro and Briefcase Pro - with 1 Gig storage

http://www.yourbubble.co.nz/photo.html

If you go into the Member Centre in the Bubble and click on products and services - it lists Flickr (basic not Pro) and Briefcase Pro

Click on Briefcase Pro and it says:

"Enjoy free online storage space — 100MB for your Primary Account and 30MB for each Sub-Account."

Then if you sign up on your "primary account" - you get - low and behold - 30MB.

So am I missing something or are we missing something?

Have a 350d so signed up for flikr. But alas, simple account only.

Full Xtra customer. Never signed up for Pro beta however, just using the simple mode.

I have flikr Pro as a result of xtra broadband.

I had a flickr account already and i was able to merge it with my xtra account and i now have pro.

Try signing into flickr with your xtra user name and password and you should get a screen like this...

now you can create a new account or merge an existing account

hope this helps.

My experience

Activated the Flickr account and checked the Your Account page

" You have a Pro account, at no cost as long as you keep your Yahoo! service."

Briefcase, the initial info is that you'll get 100MB for the primary account 30MB fro secondary accts but having activated the Briefcase for the Primary got "0% used of 1054MB"

As per those above I just signed not knowing there was a basic vs pro option - I didnt see any choice. From xtrabubble clicked on quicklinks - flickr - signed in and it took me through a guide to upload and tag photos.

I got a message when I migrated over to bubble that I got a 30Mb briefcase, I just checked now & I have 1024Mb available.
I tried to upload a file & got an error ...

Error
You've tried to upload a file larger than the 5MB limit. Please select another file.

WTF?

Although the briefcase is 1054MB in size, individual files uploaded cannot be more than 5MB. This is a standard yahoo 'briefcase' rule.

OpenD, not to 'nit pick' or anything, but weren’t you just saying here, that you had switched to Gmail, and other Google applications, and thanking Xtra for it? Why the change of mind?

I have created my Flickr account from my Bubble and it correctly show it as Flickr Pro. Ialso get 1 GB storage in the Yahoo! Briefcase.

Perhaps people should check if they logged into Flickr using their Xtra account, not something else?
