Talkiet: I would be very interested in getting other examples of sites that don't work in terms of failed DNS resolution using the Spark BBA DNS servers (210.55.111.1 and 122.56.237.1). Please feel free to post them here.

This morning it was pretty much any site...
nzherald, stuff, google, geekzone

Changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and all worked

Has this been addressed yet?

I haven't spoken to the DNS team today, but I know for a fact that DNS resolved those sites successfully this morning for me - so not likely to be the same issue affecting stanford and gamasutra yesterday.

Cheers - N

[edit: I COMPLETELY understand the pain here, but I don't suppose you logged an issue this morning when you found no sites working?]

Also interesting in all forms of customer service (no channel succeeded)

tried to login and use MySpark... out for maintenance
no mention of issues on website or outages
then used online chat and was not answered in 20-25 mins even when advised will be less than a minute
received a callback after left number on IVR.. no info available but when they tried to transfer me to second level support call was dropped

I have reverted to the Spark DNS servers and the Stanford sites seem to be working again now.
