why did you wait for a week before logging a job?

did it get better, then worse again, or has it been the same the whole time?

I thought it will improve DLM etc.
It seems to get better after 11p.m. All day it's really bad.  See the test below just done a minute back.

Don't have another modem to try. Just don't want to go buy one and it turns out to be something else.

sounds like it could be local congestion maybe (where abouts do you live?)

ETA:  you haven't answered this bit yet:
"Have you checked you (or anybody else) isn't saturating your connection with things like torrents, software updates etc."

check things like antivirus and malware too.

check the modem and see what the uptime is on the DSL connection, if it hasnt disconnected and your sync speed is still good at 48/10 or what ever it is then the issue is either something in your network is saturating the connection, or is something else out there on the internet causing it to go slow, be it congestion on your local connection, your ISP or what ever site you are using.

when you notice slow speeds to a speed test server try testing to a few different servers in your location, but also try a couple more, say wellington, or chch, and maybe a sydney one just to rule out a few things.

one speedtest or testing to the same server, with the same results could indicate the server so you need to rule that out.

No update. It's getting frustrating as browsing is too slow even at 5-6Mbps and no videos load now.

sounds quite likely your issue is the same here - Chorus congestion.

Sync speed still slower compared to before. BigPipe support says chorus won't do anything as line is performing as per specs. Spark got Chorus to do something when my sync speeds dropped to 48Mbps from 69Mbps after a faulty port change. Got them back to around 67Mbps at that time.
So if Chorus can't do anything how did my connection got back to my original speeds at that time?? I know this has happened with someone else too, ISP was Snap who got Chorus to change something on the profile after connection speed dropped but can't find that thread.
Everyone says that DLM or profile settings can't be changed but my question is how come they were changed when I was with Spark and if nothing has changed then why should my speed go down with BigPipe??
