kawaii: ... Geeze, with that amount of farting around I might as well cancel the installation - what a fiasco. ...

What have you got to lose by waiting?

Frustrating delays, yes, but worth having.

For a start UFB has no RMA exemptions like copper does. This means the whole consent process is essential. All the LFCs will also not install a SDU connection into a MDU area - whether this be a building or a shared driveway. It's logical to deploy the correct build type first time around so other customers can easily be connected.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is the UFB network. Yes there are frustrations, and yes there are issues with some of the Chorus processes, but anybody throwing their toys around because of UFB delays won't get anywhere - the many, many threads on here discussing installs and timeframes should set some pretty clear expectations. If RSPs are promising something other than this they really need to pull their heads in.
