Nice one Skinny! Even better $/GB value for us poor unfortunates beyond UFB or VDSL coverage. $130 for 200GB per month will work pretty well at our place. :-)

How about a low user plan also, something like 20 GB for $35.

Bugger! I was just about to make a case for jumping to Netspeed or Wireless Nation for their bigger packs and you come out with a bigger pack for less AND I don't need to pay another $200 for a new modem!

No brainer to me! Stay with Skinny! 👍👍👍

Sadly not available at our address. Almost worth getting for the upload performance.

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

Since its pay as you go and Skinny support restarting your plan mid-month, $130/200Gb is exactly 2x $65/100Gb so they just offered that 👍

I can also confirm restarting my $55/60Gb plan mid last month (as my NF usage increased dramatically over the holidays) and it updated and restarted my plan on the spot with no hassle - Except had to be done Via my phone as the Skinny account dashboard is not zero-rated or available via the modem when you run out (yet?) unfortunately...

Yeah that's exactly what I meant, I wasn't asking for it. Currently I had been doing 2x or even 3x the $55/60GB plan, so $110 for 120GB or even $165 for 180GB. Now I can get 200GB for $35 less! :-)

That looks like a good deal for me. With 100 gb watch most Youtubes in HD without worrying too much about a cap.

From a little research on the webwayback machine website this is what you got for $69.95 a month from Xtra in 2006. Add to this your landline cost. Prob. an extra $10 if you did not have your toll calls with Telecom. I'm not trying to compare apples with anything, but just pointing out that we get a whole lot more a whole lot faster, for about the same money! Both on Skinny & the other ISPs.

10 gb a month

2 Mbps download (Up to 50x faster than dial-up)

128 Kbps upload

After your 10 gb was used you'd go back to dial-up speed for the rest of the month.

It's even funnier to look at the prices for the very early days of ADSL/Jetstream

What Skinny doesn't state is that this is not available in rural areas. I can get more expensive spark RBI wireless and on asking skinny why their availability map says no to my address was informed cities and towns only. Should be advised on their website.

According to the coverage maps my place is right on the edge of Spark's 4G coverage (Southgate, Wellington). Does that mean that there is no hope of me getting this service in the foreseeable future?
