TNZ had earlier confirmed at least one Windows Mobile Smartphone Worldmode - the Samsung Ace, which should be here in April. I will post more details later tomorrow.

I've gone from a Touch to this device. Its really nice and I don't miss the lack of a camera.

Really enjoying it.

nzbnw: BlackBerry data roaming on Telecom is $30/MB.

The BlackBerry data roaming will vary from $8/MB (Australia) through $30/MB (Eastern Europe, South America), in line with the also announced Telecom Data Roaming Zones.

I talked to the product manager today and asked this. He gave me this information and I thought it was strange, so I asked again to confirm.

In any case, I am sending him an e-mail (which he should receive on his 8830 and reply quickly since that's what he says he can do now)...

Interesting, I just checked, and all my information points of $30 / MB all zones. I will try and confirm with the roaming help desk.

Seems pretty clear on the TNZ website

http://www.telecom.co.nz/content/0,8748,205860-203917,00.html

Blackberry roaming is different to normal data roaming. AFAIK it is $30/MB in all zones, at this stage.

I looked at all pages on www.telecom.co.nz/blackberry - including files aptly named "Blackberry 8830 Terms and conditions.pdf" and "Blackberry roaming.pdf" and there isn't any mention, anywhere that Blackberry data roaming is charged differently.

Antonios et al... It's confirmed: Telecom BlackBerry data roaming pricing is divided in zones.

It seems that no one inside Telecom really knew the whole thing until this came out this week.

Again: it is split in zones, like all other roaming.
