OK

Logged a fault with spark(hope it doesn't cost, could put me in the dog box).

What does a master filter do?

master filter will split off your home wiring from your modem.

This cuts back on issues such as multiple jackpoints reflecting on eachother.

VDSL is looking like a good option, per PM looking at 24/3 on a prequal for it.

Downstream line attenuation (dB)   33

Likely your biggest indicator of the fault right there.

Rare potentional of the MDF layout being wrong and throwing off chorus calculations though.

Ignore the above, after a quick read of things, definate copper fault on the loop there.

An attenuation of 33 dB would indicate a cable run of over 2 km and you would expect a sync of around 11 Mbps down.

didnt read the rest of the thread :)

most people are pretty sure there is a wiring fault causing the low speed and hight attenuation

as above, the line itself does not appear to be that bad but there is a fault on the line.

to my knowledge the OP already has a tech booked for that to be all sorted.
