Interesting. With the Netflix announcement I thought I'd see what they offer and they won't offer VDSL/ADSL for my address any more, only Wireless broadband. As they won't do unlimited with Wireless I can't get the Netflix deal.
That sounds wrong, unless copper isn't available or would be absolutely terrible at your address... Can you PM me your address please?

30mbps Fibre - $95
Fibre 100 - $105
Fibre 200 - $120
We have landline, not naked. Don't start on why we shouldn't. Not going to happen.
The Fibre 30, can't see the point, it's like Jetstream when it first started, crippled speed instead of fast as various factors allow.
You seriously thing fibre 30 is crippled? On average it is faster than 4G wireless due to lower latency and more consistent speed.

No judging on me from the landline - as far as I'm concerned it's still by far the most reliable and simple voice service in the country and lots of people still value that.
However regarding price you said Spark ADSL was more expensive that Fibre, and I pointed out that Fibre 30/10 is the same price as ADSL (UP TO 20ishMbps/Less than 1Mbps) so I honestly don't get your issue there.

It's faster than your ADSL, more reliable, and the same price. Tell me again why are you not on it?
A)Price drops to same or less than adsl(without any lesser speed plans)
b)I stop hearing about bad installs.
They're not going to get every single install 100% correct. Reason for that is every install is entirely different - no two are the same.

With crippled 30/10 you would struggle with streaming and also webpages......

And you will NOT hear the story about good installs. Only the small percent of problem ones. Squeaky wheel syndrome (TM)

With the way the government is going about, you may not even have the option of DSL in a few years' time.
Why not get fibre installed now, while it's still free?
(BTW, Chorus techs failed to show up twice for my fibre install and broke my water pipe in the process. Despite all this, you certainly won't find me regretting fibre.)

Exactly. A baserate problem. Sites like GZ (or Consumer, or NZ Herald, etc, etc) do not provide a random sample of opinions/results -- you have a very biased sample consisting mainly of those who have had trouble and either want help, or want to sound off, or both. Think about the number of problem installs reported here versus the total number of installs done for Geekzoners. Problem installs will be a very small percentage.
