No, I knew about the EVDO network, I was referring to the 1xRTT network.

munchkin mentioned "Telecom's network *is* 3G. In fact, the CDMA network was 3G at launch."

I gave him some info by saying it was actually lauched as CDMA2000, a 2G 14.4 Kbps network that was quickly upgraded

he replied "I didn't know that - I'd always thought it was a 1xRTT network, thanks"


He meant he thought it launched off as a 1xRTT network from the original launch before the EV-DO came along.




Anyway I digress, agreed with the 6275, not the most robust phone around.

The backberry is nice from "first-look" but I have not had a good play with one though the voice quality is stellar. When somebody called me from one the line was landline quality, the mic has a very good gain.
