I havent tried doing a full factory reset though, so might try that. Just need to export all my port forwarding rules first haha, lots of setup there I don't want to manually do again.

I'd try this sooner rather than later. There's been previous threads here where the Fritz's have appeared to be set up correctly, but something goes wrong in the background.

I just did this, still no luck on the ps4 but a few other sites are working now. Not sure if coincidence or it actually fixed something, because DNS resolution has been super inconsistent since yesterday.

Feels like a terrible game of whack a mole

Have you got the firewall turned on on the Fritzbox? If the built in DNS relay is being bombarded from the WAN side that could cause intermittent issues.

Honestly I cannot find anywhere within the interface for the Fritz!Box 7490 to turn off the firewall.

I have had a similar issue twice with BigPipe - two weeks apart, oddly enough both on a friday evening - both times one of the Bigpipe CSRs changed my static IP address, which did the trick.  It now seems to be super stable, after the second time.

I tend to use an internal DNS server, forwarding onto BigPipe's DNS servers. (Originally forwarding to Getflix, but changed back to BigPipe once the problems kicked in)

I've been too afraid to try using my getflix again - in case it's something being detected upstream.

Using the contact us form got me through to support super quick, although given that I had no internet, it made it harder for me to email them.  (Thankful for an internet connection that can be shared from the phone ...)

It doesnt look like there is any option to disable the firewall overall, only DMZ on one device at a time. I DMZ'd my flatmates ps4 and he seems to be able to connect now. Previously I had all the port forwarding setup for that device so pretty sure it wasn't just a forwarding issue. Perhaps there is something funky happening with DNS on the router. Driving me nuts! haha.

Have you tried using nslookup on your PCs with Google and OpenDNS addresses as servers to make sure it is a DNS problem?

Does the Fritzbox have a ping/traceroute facility? Do you get responses when pinging trademe's 202.162.73.2 ?

That's the part that gets me from the other thread, how when pinging from the router 202.162.73.2 is reachable but it is not for clients on the LAN. Seems like some TTL mechanism at play.

I'm not aware of any DNS issues at present. If you're still having trouble please do make sure you've submitted a support ticket via https://www.bigpipe.co.nz/contact-us so that we can track it, and follow up internally if needed.

Are you using the Fritz as your router or is there another box there? No double NAT in your network? Firewall options aren't enabled/disappear on this router when used in this way.

I also had a very similar issue in mid-May this year. A CSR changed my static IP address as well. It has been rock solid ever since

Was the offending static IP range also 210.54.32.x ?

Sorry to jump in - I can confirm that one of the IP addresses I had issues with was in the 210.54.32.x range.

Yes, the original IP address was in that range. My new static IP starts with 219.88.234
