Oakura:

Really happy with the improvement and thanks for sorting out charge - I was alarmed to get a call saying there was nothing wrong and therefore I was going to be charged. Thanks for sorting that!

I know it is bit how long is a piece of string but I am in an old old house - is putting in a master splitter likely to give yet more speed as I am also on an old network. I don't currently have the budget but given that you can see the network you may be able to give me a informed decision.

Once again thanks for all the help and the expertise that people share on this board. I often find my answers by reading here

Cheers

Splitter will help a bit, your line is relatively clean though so it may just be in error reduction you see an improvement rather than sync rate. (which could improve from error reduction but i can't really comment there as that's up to the dslam and ddDLM)

I don't know if the OP has mentioned his internal wiring to anyone. I know in my case I considered a splitter then thought since it was a naked connection I just removed all wiring except 2m between external cable and the jack. All to no avail as the Chorus guy arrived muttering about multiples and an Electra power transformer almost on top of a pillar down the street. VDSL at 16/1.5. Still better than paying mobile data rates.
