I feel your pain @Paul1977. I paid $85 for 5 days of internet last month because I assumed the prepaid balance would be refunded and didn't check the fine print.
Fortunately, thanks to the promotion with the new ISP, I'm still $115 better off.

In my case it's fine as I've just planned the transition date accordingly.
