bener:
Hio77 I think I get it, you've checked on your end...
It does seem a bit slower after I switched from VC MUX to LLC/SNAP
It's always been on the Draytek, the 2860 was installed at the same time as the VDSL connection.
Thanks for you input.
Do you think 1Mbps or less upload speed is acceptable for a VDSL connection with those line stats?
Previously a HG630 was on the line, Quite likely just to test an issue. i didn't dig into the case relating to when those tests were ran.
the line is syncing at 29/1.5 so on a speedtest you will probably see about 1.1 Upload given overhead.
If you are testing lower than that, Likely you need to look at other network usage on the connection.
Given the distance of the line, Yeah it's acceptable unfortunately, As noted i do feel the line could do more. but that seemed to be a combination of the modem and cabling used.
On a modem with a Broadcom chipset, you will probably do about 2mbit, and with SRA turned on that may crawl up a bit higher.
I personally have a line at home that's sitting on quite a long line, It sits at 21/0.9. Given it's distance It's acceptable.
