I got this text yesterday, too. I wondered how long it would continue for. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I'm one of these people who don't text or call very much, so the unlimited TXTs don't mean much to me. Having more data is good, but the Spotify was key for me being that I lost hundreds of CDs in a fire a few years back and just had no way to go and buy it all again.

So I just use Alexa to bring it up now. I agree with the OP that it is probably more advantageous to Spark than for those of us who were on the plan.

Well, I just did it - switched over to the new $19 Rollover pack which begins when my old $19 Music Pack runs out (according to the info that came up). You have to go into the app and choose the new $19 Rollover pack, and when that is done go back to "Buy Extra or Pack", click on Data and then choose the $6.90 Spotify plan.

The upshot of all this is that I will now be spending an extra $6.90 a month for what seems like not much reason. Maybe Spark were losing on it or something. Maybe Spotify changed the terms of their partnership - who knows.

Extra $6.90 PER EVERY 4 WEEKS. Plus the 1 extra $19 renewal. My biggest gripe with Spark is they only offer 28 day plans on prepaid which is a very cheeky way of getting 1 extra renewal a year.

The $6.90 Spotify Extra I added said it could take up to 15 mins to come through, but over an hour later still hasn't come through. Maybe they haven't got it sorted out yet.

I intend to move to warehouse mobile and pickup their 500MB data pack for $4/month, pay casual rates for texts & phone calls (2c/msg & 4c/min respectively) & pay for spotify - comes out cheaper than anyone else

Does Warehouse Mobile use Spark or Vodafone's networks? I have zero VF but excellent Spark coverage where I live. Also, how is their account management? I find Spark's app pretty good and I like that I can make packs auto-renew to my credit card.

I just tried to look it up - they seem to use 2Degrees from what I can see from a 2015 article.

The Warehouse has teamed up with 2degrees to use their network so check (2degreesmobile.co.nz/coverage) that it has good coverage where you live.

I can't speak to the account management, as I've not switched - will do so early May, once my last $19 pack runs out. My friend who has been with Warehouse Mobile for a few months now, says it's very no frills.

The packs have to be purchased manually each month. You can however, auto top-up the credit on the account.

Does anyone know how we can switch to the $19 rollover pack while still keeping all our offers (free socialiser forever etc) automatically when the current month of the $19 music pack runs out? I tried to ask Spark live chat but they were incredibly unhelpful. I don't want to pay for two plans at once or stop the music pack autorenewing in case it kills off my offers...

I've got until May to make my mind, but I'm tending towards trying out Spotify Free. I mainly use Spotify at home and control it via my Google Home.
Since Spotify Free works with the Google Home I'll give it a month to see how much listening to the ads and not downloading tracks to my phone annoys me :)

I'm tempted to try 2D since I can bundle the broadband to get the 1.5GB/ mth for $20 and like the idea of the dataclock. I want to watch the occasional Rugby Game on my mobile when I am away the Data Clock suits that.
The only thing holding me back is I don't believe Wifi Calling works on my phone (and last time I looked 2D coverage is not perfect at my home.)

The information at the link in the first post says that you keep any extras you currently have like socialiser as long as you make the change before your current pack expires.
