On fibre, the chances of needing customer service is drastically reduced compared to ADSL or VDSL.
Can't speak for Skinny's CS, but I've recently signed up and, as expected given the shared network, there has been no difference compared to Spark. Their migration/setup team were easy to deal with via email.
I'm using my own Ubiquity USG router without any issues. Have a spare Huawei if anyone wants an unused 659 :)
Based on my experience they're customer service is really bad.
I had an issue with a new number I picked ~7 weeks ago, which didn't get resolved even after two escalations to their "management". So today I changed mobile provider because I became too frustrated at their incompetence. Should of done it earlier.
