Hi, Can you figure out whether they are using TDD-LTE or FDD-LTE?
Watzmann:Hi, Can you figure out whether they are using TDD-LTE or FDD-LTE?
Who's got the latest banter on what DenseAir are up too these days? The number of active licenses has reduced significantly, only two remaining:

VIKKI LANE 151 VICTORIA STREET WEST, AUCKLAND - https://rrf.rsm.govt.nz/rrf/licence/number/295841
[DASHT1_P] OUTSIDE 3-13 SHORTLAND STREET, AUCKLAND CBD - https://rrf.rsm.govt.nz/rrf/licence/number/280100 & https://rrf.rsm.govt.nz/rrf/licence/number/280099
Also interested to know. They should use it or lose it IMHO. I can't envisage anyone wanting to sink a cool $1bn investment into a network that they would not ultimately own. The prospect of an entirely wholesale network seems to make little sense in its current form.
There is still a (I presume) Dense Air operated LTE site on Band 41 (channel 39840) on top of a Spark phone booth in Shortland Street which was operating yesterday when I went into town. Shows up as a DenseAir site on GIS Geek but as far as I know it only operates as a Spark LTE cell (530-05 TAC 18111 eNB 501001 CID 126). No idea if it does 5G but I am guessing no as there is no 3500 licence for this location
I believe they (Dense Air and/or Spark) were (or are still?) operating a LTE cell (also Band 41) inside the Dress Smart shopping centre in Onehunga (TAC 18151 eNB 500001 CIDs 116/126 on channels 40990/39790). Nothing on GIS Geek but it would have been low power so perhaps not required to be licensed, or maybe the licence has expired. Also guessing there is/was no 5G.
