Riiiiight that makes a lot more sense. The boffins are onto it though, just have to wait a bit and see what they come up with. 😜

I guess its times like these you miss the 20 POI Local Peering routes 😢

The "across town" traffic for RDP and the like was a nice touch without having to traverse up to Auckland for the major interconnects.

No issues with upload on the connection here with similar path taken Compass fibre -> Vocus domestic -> Spark.

It has been a lot better since late afternoon - still not back to normal mind you.

Big thanks to everyone working to get this sorted.

I'm getting terrible performance going from Vocus → 2degrees.  A 100/100 Vocus fibre connection and a 900/400 2degrees fibre gets 66Mb/s in the 2degrees→ Vocus direction but only 2.6Mb/s in the Vocus → 2degrees direction (as measured with iperf3, and poor observed VNC performance — that's the direction I'm using). This only started a few weeks ago I think.

Did your speeds get better? I was considering going from Vodafone to 2degrees as well but maybe should hold back if it is not a good move.

Mine came back to normal pretty quickly, have just re-tested on 2D 200/200 and getting full speed to Spark servers. Moving from Vodafone to 2D surely is a good move. 😅

May be worth oping a different thread for that issue?

the issue this thread was about is resolved, with the past week+ results consistently being 900/400+

network folk like @NickMack jumped on it and sorted things really fast :)

Not seeing any issues from our side - if there is any issue, please engage care in the first instance as the issue from a few weeks back was resolved.
