Yeah I know they definitely block non-SSL from outside their network.

imap.xtra.co.nz, SSL, 993, full email address. P/W works fine on webmail.

With Secure Pass Authentication (SPA) NOT selected??

Spyware:

Authentication: Normal Password

 

I don't think SPA is even an option on most clients.

I have seen cases where webmail is fine, but clients refuse to connect with the correct settings. Reset the password and it comes right. Would have seen this 4 or 5 times now.
