nodeman:freitasm:nodeman: I?tried a brand new modem....works like a treat... however i do recommend switching to Vodafone Red Network
Now that'sintriguing... Like the other poster you had some hardware problem on your side - his was a handset connected to a faulty filter, yours was the modem. Neither case was a Telecom problem.
And you recommend switching to another provider... Why?
Why bother changing providers, having to sign up with another contract, have credit checks done, changing payment options, potential problems during transfer, if there's no problem with your provider?
The Reason for change providers is Phone line is cheaper with Vodafone $90 per month for everything full speed up and down....which means fast over all....plus its red network ADSL 2 much faster more reliable and no more waiting for youtube...due to the fair use policy

Cheaper does not always equal better.
From what I've read on these forums Vodafone have the worst customer service and an even badder reputation. You might want to have a look through the vodafone threads here to check.
EDIT Ok found out about the fair use policy from vodafone's website. If you go over your GB limit in the month it rate limits you to 64k for the rest of the month. Use more than 2gb you'll be rate limited for the rest of the month. Just another form of traffic shaping IMHO but a predictable form of traffic shaping (ie check how much you've done and reel yourself in!). Is that going to work out better for you ?
