Blue status light back this morning, which I'm guessing happened with the 24hrly IP address change at 3.30am this morning, as it was still white when I went to bed last night.

@cbrpilot - if it's not too much trouble, would it be OK for you to post here when the next SSM2 firmware update gets pushed out? I'd like to be able to assess how it's performing compared to this current one & the first. I might miss it if it happens with the 24hr cycle at 3.30am!

Thanks to both you and @Tallkiet for following this up and providing updated info here. It's much appreciated!

Jiriteach:

Thanks for looking into this and the update. I do use rely on ICMP reponses for various monitoring I have in place so yes it does pose a problem. If I was to be supplied with an older release of the firmware - I'd be happy to apply myself. I have two SSM2's where I am experiencing this so would be good please?

Thanks

Can you please PM me your line numbers or other details and we can get your lines rolled back until this is fixed in the next update.

Hi catspyjamas, our devices team has been working to try and replicate any speed issue, and thus far have not been able to find any differences between the firmware variants.  Neither myself nor Talkiet work in the devices area, so I'm not sure we can guarantee to give you forewarning of when a new firmware release is imminent.

I'm experiencing this problem as well with a brand new SSM2. See this thread https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=257136&page_no=77#2914491

I had a solid white status light appear overnight Sunday/Monday.  The SSM2 appeared to be working perfectly apart from this solid white light.

Eventually, I restarted the SSM2 and the normal blue light appeared after restarting.

24 hours after the restart, and the solid white light has reappeared, but again the SSM2 appears to behaving perfectly apart from the solid white light "bug".
