I checked with spark a couple of weeks ago and was told they would be selling the Ultra on the 4th of October (or could have been the 3rd).  Not sure why the delay between launch and selling...

That’s a better response than what I got, which was “we don’t know if we will stock the Apple Watch 8 or Ultra. But if we do, then keep an eye on our website”

It’s the complete lack of information that I find odd. A hugely popular product that only works on their network and it’s not even mentioned. Even the normal Series 8 isn’t - the SE is the only one.

Yeah it's very strange they're not promoting it etc.  Spark has confirmed to me again this morning on their messaging platform that they will be selling the Ultra from tomorrow.  They said some stores (but not all) will have stock to sell tomorrow.

I didnt buy the watch from them but I am halfway through the process of setting a ultra up on a spark plan, should say plans as you need two apparently. Just waiting for a secondary phone to arrive before i go ahead. Will get back here when all is done. The ultra plan is $12.95 a month apparently for some reason it comes with unlimited download. The other plan is a $15 monthly LOL that one has 100mb download.

PS Incase you think I am buying two ultras I am not!

I didnt have any plans with spark so I needed both . I think I saw a list on their site of current plans that will work with the smartwatch plan.

Aside from perhaps interest free monthly payments, I don't expect any particular benefit from Spark. Certainly won't be any discount and it will mean you are locked into them for the duration.

Interest free money in this day and age is increasingly valuable. Also I think they’re the only network that supports cellular on the watch, so you’re locked in with that anyway.

There won’t be any discount on the Ultra anywhere, I’m pretty sure.

I was going to order the Apple Watch 8 from them, but the only size they are selling online the 41mm, which is too small for me and I don’t want the Ultra.

Oh well.

Me too. I wanted them to deliver it to the Spark store for collection but that wasn't an option online (faster because we are RD) so I am heading in to Rangiora for some chores and whilst there will pop in and see if I can get that done in person.

They only had the Ocean band option available online when I looked.
