Thanks people. 💐

So some can and some cannot reach  https://bracken2live.z8.web.core.windows.net/index.html  So at least it is not a Me problem 😊.

In the meantime, I have put the Container behind Azure Front door so it should now be accessible from https://static-csf8apaffde6g5f3.z01.azurefd.net/index.html

A little odd that https://bracken2live.z8.web.core.windows.net has worked fine for years and now somewhere out there in internet land it has become inaccessible for some.

MaxineN:

Whilst I can't route to it, it does resolve and load for me.

Thats the same behaviour I see on my Slingshot connection.
Cant' trace to it but page will load.

Any firewalls/security rules  on the Azure side of things ?

I don't believe so, but will check

Has been working for years. Not sure when it stopped working. Contents of folder have a low usage rate and mostly from USA. No one in USA is reporting any access issues. Just appears to be inaccessible for some people in NZ

Interesting that @CYaBro can’t access it their Quic connection but @MaxineN can

I can’t on my Spark connection but @ Talkiet can

I can on Slingshot (2d) but @nzkc can't on 2d

HTTPS:

  • Loads fine on Quic (home)
  • Loads fine from Seattle (Wave broadband)
  • Times out through work's corporate VPN (Perimeter 81/ Checkpoint Harmony SASE with a Sydney based exit)

ICMP:

Unreachable on both after hitting differing aeXX.ircXX.sydXX.ntwk.msn.net IP's in the 104.44.x.x range

Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone

So, some can, and some can’t reach https://bracken2live.z8.web.core.windows.net/index.html so it’s not just a Me problem.

Looks like traffic is getting lost somewhere offshore in Microsoft’s Sydney network somewhere. Although I suspect it is a return path problem, but who knows.

I will file a support request with Azure support and copy in my “Microsoft Customer Success manager”. Something might happen.

In the meantime, putting the location behind Azure Front door fixes accessibility for everyone, just means the Url changes. So had to update and roll out a few docker containers with the new Url.
