Looks good, I wonder if Vodafone/One will do anything by comparison?

From the looks of it, the $45 plan is basically the same, and One's Unlimited plan is $5 cheaper (there is a slight difference in international calling minutes), but it's the intermediate plans (especially the $65 plan) where Spark is better?  Unless I've missed an obvious difference that is.

My current Vodafone plan is $65 for 15GB, so yes, this offering from Spark (same price for 75GB) is far, far better.

For me the drip drip drip of regular price increases (sometimes hidden as "your plan is changing") over the last few years means I'm now paying almost three times as much as I was when I signed up for Spark (285% to be precise). Leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Time to look at a new provider I think.

Switching from lemon to lime just feels different for a short time.

@TehFlak: Good change, apart from the fact they are no longer offering low usage pay monthly plans, and have grand fathered the $15 rollover and the $27 rollover, so cheapest is now the $45 endless.

Remember, Spark also own https://skinny.co.nz and I would say they're pushing you over there now. Looks like they've gone up too.

That's true, however as part of the cycle of plan deprecation and forced migration I've ended up with about ten times as much data quota as I actually use, so it's a good opportunity to downgrade the plan too.

Today's email from Spark is the news that our 3GB rollover plans also go up $5 and become 4GB plans. I not sure if there's any point to a rollover plan now but there's bound to be a catch switching plans.

Edit looks like endless 5GB would add Aus mins and Texts but increase Spotify price.

Skinny hasn’t gone up recently, maybe to come. There was a slight price increase about 1 year ago from memory. $16 one went to $17, $36 one went to $40.

Recently they upped the data at no extra cost, the $27 plan went from 2.5GB, to 4GB. Think was done in last 3 months or so.

Think $17 plan went from 1.25 to 1.5 GB. Thanks to increase in $27 one I’ve been able to switch to $17 one to use accumulated roll over data :)

The $40 endless one now give 10Gb at full speed which I think is quite a big increase on previous full speed data.

The link above is $50 for 20GB full speed data once full price being paid.

Their entry endless plan has always had unlimited aus mins/texts, it was the rollover plan that was NZ only

Just more Gattung confusion. I lost respect for Telecom marketing the Xmas they sold $5 gift cards that cost $15 to process through accounts.

Looks like 2d is making changes to its mobile plans in response to this! $65 plan 80GB up from 25GB from 9th Dec and unlimited full speed plan $80

Competition is fantastic pity about no eSIM for wearables on 2degrees

Now it's up to Vodafone/One to follow the lead and do something with their plans...

It's still Vodafone to me (and a lot of other people I talk to). Each to their own.

I imagine people will come around and change what they say eventually. I recall it didn't happen too quickly with Spark either.
