What do you know, CDMA disconnected and XT connected in the last few minutes (26 hours after sign up), looks like the the popcorn will be saved for another day.

New on account connection was working as soon as I received the sim. Checked in the store before leaving.

nitrotech: We are thinking of staying up all night with the sleeping bag and having an 'almost XT party' with the phone on display...

What a great geek party idea. I am sure you could find something to past the time quicker during the all nighter... But since your connection is now working, I guess you will just go to sleep...

Looks like I might not get mine activated until Monday.

Bought a prepay sim and completed a number transfer to bring my number over from vodafone for my iphone (actually an 027 number allready) at 12pm Friday, nothing happened overnight, then I read that they were having problems on some of the posts today, so I left it thinking it should be sorted this afternoon.

Still no luck at 7pm, so called 123, said they cant help me, told to call prepay help desk, call them they say no orders place against my XT sim number (or something to that effect) and I need to go into a telecom store as they are the only ones who can fix this.....

Since the store I got it from is not open on the weekend, guess i am going to have to wait until Monday to get the request reloaded and then have to wait again for the port to happen.

Not angry at telecom, just a bit frustrated.................

I will PM karen, but don't suspect she can do much tonight

I just called 123, and I was told that it had something to do with a "corrupt text message"...

Ok folks, I have done all I can do for this evening, those couple of people still awaiting resolution will be worked on in the morning.

The feedback I have had is that the backlog of provisioning is clearing so hopefully this is the tail end of it now.

Enjoy your Saturday night!

I'll repost this message in the other XT forum as well so everybody sees it.

Still waiting for a call to get connected, hopefully soon, Karen said last night she had logged my problem. emailed her again, just in case. Been 48 hours so far, might have to wait until Monday (damn a holiday) I mean Tuesday to get sorted. Not ideal, but you have got to put it in context, a phone number not porting across is not exactly life threatening......unless my wife looses it over my checking my phone one more time.

Well there appears to be some level of good and bad with this - I got my new blackberry on Friday morning - about mid morning and it is now Sunday night and still no go! I was doing an upgrade and have been waiting patiently - my dealer txt me last night that the provisioning had started and could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours. So i was expecting the phone to be all go this morning.

As an update since then i received a txt on my old CDMA phone saying the following:

Update from Telecom - ETA at this stage is currently 48 hours on requests will be completed. THis is a priority one fix. Thanks for your patience.

So 48 hours + and counting since i received my phone!
