I've tried the process of elimination btw - tried Opera with WiFi switched on and off. Works in both situations...

Wipeout: Ok, so I installed the Opera and can access the net.

But how can I tell if Opera is using WiFi connection or the mobile internet?

If using mobile internet there will be an earth symbol in the upper right hand corner, or at least does on my C905.

Hmm... I'm no longer at home, so can't test this on WiFi.

But, If I connect to Opera under TelecomContent, little globe does appear up the top. When I change to WiFi (and there isn't any WiFi around) and TelecomData, I can not surf the net. Which points to the fact that everything is working like it should. :)

I will do the final test tonight or tomorrow at home with WiFi and see how everything connects.
Thanks for your Marmion. :)

Also I would greatly appreciate, if those who have W705a can please put up what settings and browsers they're using for both Mobile Internet and WiFi.

Cheers

:)

=======================================================
Since were on the topic, ill just add a bit about Wifi and Phones...
=======================================================

The http://www.joikushop.com/ wifi hotspot app is awesome!!

Using this app, it turns my phone into a wifi hotspot connected to 3G. I can then use a device like my wifi enabled laptop to connect to mobile internet and emails,

Makes it really easy and is very secure..
