This tool won't work due to technical reasons getting messages from overseas (8-bit concatenated SMS getting translated)

Try the following

1) Delete all the APN's
2) create an APN with wap.telecom.co.nz
2) set the homepage as mobportal.telecom.co.nz

for mms issue.

Can try this

I would recommend to create a new connection under internet settings call it " TelecomMMS"

use PS data
and apn as wap.telecom.co.nz

Go down to message settings
and then Picture message

Add a new profile
MMS Profile Name: Telecom MMS
Message Server: http://lsmmsc.xtra.co.nz
 Connect Using: TelecomMMS.

This should fix your MMS issue and I would get back to you regarding the WAP issue.

I tried that and that wont work either! Is it possible that since its a vodafone branded phone that what ever you change the settings to it wont work??

Create an APN for Telecom Content
Most Importantly, make sure the Proxy IP and port number is right. Or else it wont work.

MMS - TelecomMMS
And again make sure that the Proxy IP and port number is right.

For more details on APn check this post
