Cool.. glad it's working for you.
I'm getting similar dropout behavior as you from time to time and I'm on a mac. The datastick just seems to crash sometimes and needs to be removed to reset. I wonder if the sierra is better?

further to scorpiworld's reply...

Outgoing Server: send.xtra.co.nz (SMTP Server should be that of the ISP you're connected to)
Outgoing Server Port: 465 (send uses SSL)
Server Requires Authentication: Yes

* Open the "More Settings" window and change the default (Use same settings as my incoming mail server) to "Log on using" (it's pointless using your own domain's credentials to authenticate against Xtra's server)
* Enter your Xtra Username and Password into the corresponding fields and "Apply".

It often helps to close your mail client and re-open it as you're likely to have messages stuck in the Outbox still carrying the account's original, incorrect, authentication details.
