timbo: Have heard details of one of the new Voda plans for 3G and if it is true, and if Telecom are forced to match it, then you will all be very very happy indeed. It is way beyond anything currently in the market.

Will the new Voda plans be offered only for 3G? Or can customers using standard GSM devices get them too?

I don't really want to retire my P910.

I really want to see this one... Anything that won't touch their (Vodafone's) current $30/MB data roaming cash cow would be a joke.

Commonsense dictates equal or lower pricing for GPRS surely?

(Surely you dont mean GSM data on its own without GPRS?!) :-P

Yes I did mean GPRS for data.

However I was also referring to voice calling as well that is carried out over their GSM rather than their 3G network.

It will be interesting whether they use 3G as a means to force people to upgrade to qualify for cheaper pricing or not.

i doubt they would use pricing to force people to upgrade unless the network was totally nationwide. The outcry would be too loud...

They would be better to offer cheap 3G handset and get voice onto the 3G network
