KiwiNZ:
PaulBrislen: Yes, yes they have.

we had to fly extra staff in to the South Island this week to cope with demand and the back office porting team is working through the weekend to keep up.

Cheers

Paul

Would never go to Vodafone when it costs me to call you , even if it is YOUR fault that I need to call you . Good customer service ... I dont think so .?

This is not the case for On account customers that this offer is pointed towards

Prepay customers are refunded on a case by case basis if a Vodafone issue refund is done

hellmanisearthon: I have switched to Slingshot mainly because I have internets with them. They offered me a nice deal with free calls and txts just because Telecom ahve yet again, stuffed me around. At the remark about Vodafone network being congested, they always were and always will be the largest Mobile Network in the country. Telecom don't have anywhere near the figures Vodafone do.

If Telecom hadn't of tried to do WDCMA without proper knowledge of the network structure required for such high capacity workload maybe it wouldent of fallen over and gone down the pooper

I always thought the two networks were reasonably similarly sized.

I think the Commerce Commission agree too.

It would nice if those two graphs showed prepaid vs postpaid on the two networks... and 2Degrees coming in there too..

Found some NZX reporting by Telecom page 39.  I think the interesting thing was that since XT Launch Telecom's CDMA prepaid numbers went up, and their postpaid numbers very margnially dropped.. but they gained 200k prepaid and 267k postpaid customers.. hows that work???.  But since Vodafone isn't listed on the NZX it only reports back to the parent company.  If anyone finds any good Vodafone numbers I would love to see them.

But that sort of comes back to my previous argument about porting and reporting ;)
