Same issue here in Auckland. Seems to be back now. First flaky, now good for the last few minutes. No issues with Vodafone 3G, definitely seems to be a Telecom problem.

Same problem here (Tauranga) connection is up and down like the Asyrian Empire. Did notice that when it's working, it seems to be a lot faster than usual

We're in Mairangi Bay (North Shore), seeing a stable connection now (running a constant ping). It may not last though.

Still no mention on @telecomnz or on their website.

Wellington CBD - has been going down and up for a while - seems stable at the moment now.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

OK also just got the word that Telecom's internet is playing up today.

It's unstable when accessing my NZ-based website from Australia.

When I went home for lunch about an hour ago my Telecom ADSL connection was down (Wellington, near CBD). Apart from an interval of about 30 seconds it was still down when I came back to work.

I tried ringing their 0800 number (you know, to get the "There are no reported problems" message) but that appeared to be offline as well.
