The HTC Snap is rather poor at picking up a signal on XT, especially in fringe coverage areas.

Damager: also make sure the selection is right to date. eg the milestone only just got released while the milestone 2 has now been released overseas..

I fully agree. I think the Milestone 2 had been released overseas by the time Telecom eventually got around to selling the Milestone 1. I ended up importing a phone because Telecom's Android range was very limited and outdated. There are currently no HTC Androids in Telecom's lineup, even though it's a very popular brand overseas.

qraider: Has Telecom thought about having a word with Telstra in Oz in teaming up for handsets?

No idea if that's a good thing or a bad thing mind, just a thought :)

hmmmm, given that currently Telstra resells Voda in NZ - in itself a seeming lack of leveraging their own capability - the conversation would be interesting and complicated.  Theoretically there are a lot of synergies that could be gained by Telstra/Telecom co-operating in the mobile space - but practically as of today - very difficult commercially.
