Yes the usage meter appears to go up and down on me on a daily basis sometimes, but it is working for me right now.. at least thru the Your Telecom portal

I was just thinking about it..
The linksys adsl router was connected to xnet last year with a voip phone connection as I was using them for my home phone via voip.
Would it still be set to try and start a voip connection with them and sitting there trying to connect ?

It may still be trying to reconnect but it wouldn't use anywhere near that data for that...

Someone else reported a similar problem (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=74484). I locked that discussion and pointed it here.

yeah, I use one meg an hour, with only 2 tivo's connected. With nothing connected and staying logged on 8 megs a day. I reckon the guide data is being counted. Did a free music download on caspa, that wasn't counted.

Ok, just got home and checked everything.
The network light on the hub connection going to the Tivo was flashing away slowly, don't know what it was doing..
The only other thing that was running was a WD Mybook external hardrive/backup media server.
It has Net access but by its logs and after doing a netstat on it, there was nothing unusual or anything going out from it to any external ip's over the last week.
I've restarted everything including the TiVo so I'll watch and see what happens now.

Well whatever was happening, rebooting everything here seems to have fixed it.
Usage was right down overnight.
