*123 / 123 (can't remember which one) should work from disconnected CDMA phones.

The recorded message likely states if you have just connected your mobile phone it may take up to 4 hours etc etc

You need to speak to a CSR.

Yeah the message said "your mobile phone is currently disconnected, if you would like to reconnect your phone please take it to your local telecom store, and you will be reconnected and advised on the best plan for you.

The old number will still be set up in the NAM settings thingy. Telecom will walk you through changing it.

Ok dont know when I will be able to actually get to a telecom store because my local one closes around 5pm.
Oh well will see what I can do.

Sorry for the late reply, only just saw this - if you were still wondering, you can reconnect this, however you won't be able to connect it on Prepaid, and the speeds will be 1X only (no more EVDO).
