Is there any way I can use the Telecom branded HTC Apache on the network any more?
I just had one given to me.

If you have a Telecom CDMA number you might be able to connect it to replace an existing "broken" handset...

Hmmm? What I meant is that YOU must already have an account still connected to the old CDMA network.

Or are you just going to give it away to this other person?

Ok. But the account will still be on their names... And can't be transferred anymore.

Telecom's site indicates that CDMA phones can still be connected.

Ah. The list of plans tricked me :)

Do you know when that changed?

Oh well done telecom, rang *123 like the site said to get the phone connected only to get told that I have to go to my local telecom shop.

That's interesting, 123 should be able to connect this device for you, existing number of not (new connections are still relevant on CDMA with your own hardware).

Of course a Telecom Store can help (find.telecom.co.nz) but give 123 a call back and ask once more.

You will need to choose a CDMA Postpaid plan. You can not connect to CDMA Prepaid.

Really? What did you say to the machine? Try calling 0800 TELECOM, Can't remember if it's option 1 or 2.

Can I call them if the phone is not connected to the network?

Are you calling *123 from the disconnected phone? You'll probably need to use a connected one.
