**pebbles**, first of all, although this is not the place to say this, Welcome to Geekzone

In regard to your POP (Proof of Purchase), Telecom dealers can email away for such a document, but if the phone has been replaced by Telegistics then it makes it a little harder logistically, but it can still be done. Ask the dealer to contact Telegistics to see if they have the POP on file? If you have trouble finding these documents, PM me, and I will help you find your POP.

Best of luck.

bradstewart: You cant get a refund or exchange a phone at a different dealer.

If the dealers are different companies then you are correct, i.e. ORB, Leading Edge (LET) and Telecom Retail (TRS).

If how ever they are of the same companies then yes you can, at least with TRS it is possible. With ORB and LET however it’s different as some of those dealers trade under the Leading Edge banner, and as a result are not the same company as Leading Edge, and you are unlikely to get a replacement from a different dealer in this case.

Its funny because i'm 15 and when there was a problem with my Treo 650, LET gave me a harrier loan phone and when my phone was repaired i found out that they just gave me a brand new treo! Dont ever say that teans are mearly niglected by sales people, some store reps are realy nice, and you can definitly tell who is interested in what they are selling so talk to them and just tell the others that you are just browsing. and when you go into the store make sure you have all the information on hand.

I'm sorry if I have said something wrong, my judgement is not of all sales people, it is just telecom's store has not treated me, or my friends well and I based my judgement on that, some of them can be really nice though.

Oh and an update - my loan phone hasn't been connected correctly and so I cannot use it, purely incidental I know but I swear I must just be doomed to have the worst luck with cellphones

While I agree with you on the whole Super, I must point out that Treo phones are never repaired, if a fault is confirmed they are replaced. That includes if you break the LCD, a fixed price is quoted, and you get a new Treo.

says who? Pebbles may get better level of service at another dealer, what hapens if you move to another city and your phone goes wrong? say you move from auckland to invercagill do you have to go back to auckland to get your phone fixed?? A. NO

all telecom dealers will access to the same info

Getting your phone sent away for repair and getting a refund/exchange are quite a bit different.

Maybe some clarification here also...... LEC, not LET, (Leading Edge) and Orb = Telecom Dealers, TRS = Telecom.

As far as getting a POP goes, we can all send away to CDW to get a rough date of purchase, ultimately you should keep a copy yourself. I can't get a POP from either Telecom (unless it is from direct fulfilment, which comes direct from CDW anyway) or Orb (unless it's from the store in the same town as I)

I say LET out of habbit, due to taking to Dealer Support all the time, and Leading Edge dealer codes are LETXX00000

All phones come from CDW at one point is their life, with the exception being warranty replacement handsets from Telegistics and MFR.

Hi

I got my sanyo 7400 whe it first came out, then about august this year my phone wouldnt make calls or send texts so I took it in to telecom and they replaced it just giving me my battery and my face plate back with it now the phone just kinda froze so I took the battery out then put it back in and the screen went all white...... so I left the battery out over night and put it back in, in the morning for the same result then i sent it a text and it came too. this happened about 4 times but sending it a text always worked but now I cant seem to get it working again. So I was just wondering those ayoe know how to fix this?
