Was thinking of changing ISP but for our usage with the new pricing/data caps it's not worth changing.

$105 for Total Home Broadband (phone and DSL with 120GB), very competitive pricing good work Telecom

Great news for Telecom broadband customers
We will be increasing the data allowance on our Total Home packages at no additional cost ? so that our customers will be able to do more of the things they love online!
We will be writing to our broadband package customers in April to let them know when they will be receiving their increased data allowance.
If you're on a Total Home package you don't need to do a thing, we will automatically increase the data on your plan. You can check out what package you are on by signing into Your Telecom.

Plans don't apply until May, so if you sign up today your first month will be at the old caps.

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

Wow!!! This hits the sweet spot for me. Finally I'll not be worried about data.

I'm currently waiting for my plan to rollover before I update my itunes apps for the new ipad --- It is going to consume 10 gig alone or so I think.

On top of OS reinstalls, system updates (across 5 or 6 windows machines) , linux images for my SSD firmware upgrades, and windows 8 image downloads it just goes on.

Disapointed that Telecom still don't offer Naked DSL plans. I have no interest in a landline as I use the italk VOIP Service for $11 pm which includes 500minutes of calls to Lanlines in NZ and many other countries in the world.

There aren’t really many ‘proper’ naked plans out there any more. Orcon’s genius whilst technically naked does come with calling, Vodafone’s naked plan requires postpaid mobile,. Out of the big guys only Slingshot offers naked at a price point worth considering vs it’s regular plans, but even that is only about $20 cheaper than having a landline.

You have to give 30 days notice to your old ISP anyway, so I don't think that is really a problem. You just signup to start on the date your old ISPs contract ends. I would be interested though what is the best way to ensure switching to another ISP, without paying for an extra month with your old supplier.
