hobsonlea: New landing page for the plans is now at
http://www.telecom.co.nz/whatsnew/moredata
Great news for Telecom broadband customers
We will be increasing the data allowance on our Total Home packages at no additional cost ? so that our customers will be able to do more of the things they love online!
We will be writing to our broadband package customers in April to let them know when they will be receiving their increased data allowance.
If you're on a Total Home package you don't need to do a thing, we will automatically increase the data on your plan. You can check out what package you are on by signing into Your Telecom.

BraaiGuy: Disapointed that Telecom still don't offer Naked DSL plans. I have no interest in a landline as I use the italk VOIP Service for $11 pm which includes 500minutes of calls to Lanlines in NZ and many other countries in the world.
openmedia: Plans don't apply until May, so if you sign up today your first month will be at the old caps.
NonprayingMantis:
There aren’t really many ‘proper’ naked plans out there any more. Orcon’s genius whilst technically naked does come with calling, Vodafone’s naked plan requires postpaid mobile,. Out of the big guys only Slingshot offers naked at a price point worth considering vs it’s regular plans, but even that is only about $20 cheaper than having a landline.

hmmmm what about Snap Naked DSL? And TelstraClear cable. (Not sure of you can call it naked, as its not really DSL), but you dont need a landline.

Snap aren't big enough to be a big guy? (I count Telecom, TelstraClear, Vodafone, Orcon, and Slingshot as the 'big guys')
and yes, Cable isn't Naked DSL because it isn't DSL.

I consider orcon and slingshot a tier below the real big guys, such as Telecom, Vodafone, and Telstra.
