A5X: So is this 500GB plan shaped or what, [snip]

A5X: Thanks for your good answers.
If a better deal is offered for such as $99 from door knocker, is this usually only for the first year then the price goes up to $119. Is that the part I am not being told, the catch?
A5X: Still not getting it, as in what they are offering, unless this is a discount deal to get people to cross over?
Seem weird, email I have states these as the prices, and each option/package has the exact same things bundled in it as well.
Option 1 = 150GB for $99, 500GB for $119
Option 2 = 500GB for $99
Anyone in their right mind would go for the $99 option 2, since the package is identical to what is in option 1. What is the catch, anyone else being made these offers?

You are on Slingshot. What does it have to do with a Telecom 500GB plan? Different networks, different CDNs, different caches.

Nothing, sorry. I just saw someone else saying something about YouTube, but I guess I will create a new topic for it.

And preferably in the slingshot forum. Don't get me wrong I am not trying to be unhelpful however I do take objection to all of the internet's woes in NZ being blamed on Telecom.
YouTube buffering is almost always caused by poor internal wiring needing a master filter, backhaul problems, lack of local Google Cache from the isp or poor international capacity or any combination of the three.
Buffering YouTube on Telecom is something I would not expect at all. Especially considering recent upgrades. If it was happening then it would be your wiring. And I can check that very easily and tell you that you need a master filter.
