Hiamie: It was a deal I couldn't refuse. I have joined Skinny and left Vodafone after being with them for over a decade.
The killer reason for leaving Vodafone was the minimum $1 charge for data when used casually - just a few Kb of data each day meant $365 per year.
So I had to refrain from data use as much as possible. A work around was to put a second SIM in my dual sim phone, and use data from 2 degrees which charge only what I used.
This Skinny plan simplified everything for me, in one cheap plan. And I could pick my own number, so I found an easy to remember number with Skinny, and 'jumped ship'.
So far, for me, it has been the right choice :)
Sweet one m8.
I was also a long term VF customer of over 10 years.,
I like the weekly plan.
One example. Currently on holiday and realised on thursday that my data was going to run out before Friday night my roll over date. ( Im on the 260 mb/week add on)
So thursday pm I just cancelled my add on and switched to the 600 mb add one.
In was given a pro rata 170 mb which was more than enough to get me through.
Ill switch back to the 260 mb when my holiday is over.
What is also good is that the cost went up only $4 a week.
I was paying over $70 a month previously
