jawnbc: I don't blame you--but it's legit. And it's definitely 3G data: my bill for mobile is broken down by my phone and my tablet. This was all on the Telecom mobile # assigned to the SIM in my iPad.

I suspect Telecom realizes there's a problem too: I've not yet had my escalated returned call from a supervisor. None of this passes the sniff test.

joker97: i have trouble believing anything on this thread?

so what 'plan' do you think you have, and what have they billed you for?

could you maybe post a screenshot of your bill (with the number and names etc blanked out)

Hope you don't end up with a really huge bill then.

Have you had a data report run on the iPad number ? This will give you an idea as to what is using the data.

If not one can be arranged, just drop Peter (plambrechtsen) your number & he will be delighted to get that organised for you

(he can send it to me to get done  )

I still don't believe anything on this thread. Sorry

(eg - the ipad can use gigabytes of data even when battery is flat?)

jawnbc: data spikes:

20GB
20GB
4GB
1.5GB
588MB
1.643GB
3.498GB
1.360GB
884MB
529MB
4.105GB
7.742GB
11.549GB

Thing is, the iPad's been on the bookshelf for most of this, keypad locked and sometimes discharged.

Guee.. thanks :)

I'm a bit slammed recently and haven't been on geekzone. So just catching up on it.

Call the mobile support team, but those sorts of usage seem a tad unusual.

I would have said "send it to me" but I'm not official
I can get a data report run if the OP wants to IM/PM me the iPad number (with dates/times).
