People that cold call me tick me off.  They never get any business from me.  I don't differentiate between scam and legitimate offers.  Someone who wants to start/extend a business relationship by annoying me is not going to get very far.   One credit card company did it so often I told them the very next time they one of their sales people contacted me I would close my account.  They contacted my two weeks later and lost all my business a result.

The only cold callers I tolerate are sky and that is only to refuse the one size fits all channel bundles they offer and outline a pick and mix purchase model that I would consider.

If the number is blocked, it will let it go to voice mail. There is no reason to block your number if you are legitimate. Even better is if your number is on the web my cell phone will display the company name (Google nexus)

It doesn't have a solution for unknown numbers, and didn't get enough funding to continue, but someone had the time to create this.

I don't know anyone who likes receiving cold calls, either via the phone, or via hawkers door knocking.

I think some of them use private numbers, because they hire people working from home, who phone up from their home phone, so it is to protect them being phoned back, as they don't want to receive calls themselves.

No update on if it was a legitimate Telecom call yet.

They knew which planI was on, but wouldn't share anything else.

They also didn't ask me to prove who I was, assuming if I answered my mobile I had  to be me..
