i think it could possibly be the stream, i was watching 3 this morning and 2 were perfectly fine, and the 3rd was buffering every minute or two.

While its possible, I doubt this is the case as several twitch streams I frequent have the same buffering issues which is particularly prevalent during peak times.

I've been inconvenienced enough by this that I might call Spark later tonight to get a case going about the issues I'm facing accessing twitch.tv.

High Quality i cant even run the stream i have to refresh

Current transfer rate    1.01 KB/s
Average Transfer Rate    4.64 KB/s
Maximum Transfer Rate    183 KB/s

Refreshed stream runs for about 5 seconds then buffers and well it just stops as you can see my current transfer rate 0.98KB/s

Current transfer rate    0.98 KB/s

Started off buffering every 15 seconds or so whacked quality down to medium then back up to source.

Its now streaming fine with zero buffering

the stream is sitting at about 3200kb/s as reported by the twitch player, has about a 6 second video buffer

Networx monitor reports 380-700KB/s transfer on the network and windows task manager is saying its averaging 2.8-3Mbps.

Spark VDSL 49/10 with a DLM1 Profile, Auckland.

Im not sure what it is TBH but its working fine for me

But defiantly call and log a fault

If i use Livestreamer with a 5000 file cache and hls-segment-threads=10 hds-segment-threads=10 i have the odd buffering but only for a couple of seconds every 5-10mins of watching the stream but overall i can run any stream in source mode without an issue

Current transfer rate    709 KB/s
Average Transfer Rate    432 KB/s
Maximum Transfer Rate    1.15 MB/s

And hitbox 1080p stream no buffering no livestreamer needed

Current transfer rate    217 KB/s
Average Transfer Rate    175 KB/s
Maximum Transfer Rate    650 KB/s

Anyone from Spark able to look into this issue?

Always get a generic reply when calling saying its not their issue

Still no good for me either.

I don't seem to have a peak vs off peak problem either seems to be fairly consistent - tried before 5pm and after 1am with pretty similar results.
Although to be fair the bulk of my usage is probably during peak times.

Had a crack at the online chat to try and get a case logged, I don't think I quite succeeded.

Did some speed tests - all fine, tried 1080p YouTube and Netflix HD at the same time I was having the Twitch problem, all good.

You guys should participate in this thread, where Spark is asking for examples of problem sites.

Just posted on the thread, hopefully this can get sorted as I'm sure quite a number of people are experiencing poor speeds whether it's twitch or some other website.
