the Spark deal is not a good deal.

I wouldn't say its not a good deal, it's just not as attractive of a deal as first thought.

its fixed now and with that being said I can't see the issue, as its no different to getting a phone interest free on a plan really.

How is it a good deal in any way?  From what I can see, they are giving you a saving of $40 over a store price.

When I signed 24 months with spark, they would give 3 months free, an account credit (can't remember how much, maybe $50 - $100), 1 year free spotify . Around $500 in savings over 24 months.

I suppose if you like to pay things off, the interest free bit might be worth something, but I don't buy stuff on credit.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say, agreed it’s not a deal I would take but it’s no different to people ticking up the latest and greatest flagship interest free, that’s my point I was making, bundled freebies is at the discretion of the isp so really out of anyone’s control. Saying it’s a bad deal is saying all interest free offers on phones are bad too when in fact they are not.

Well the issue was the claim of saving "OVER $800" regardless if it is changed or not, how many people signed up to this thinking they were actually getting a new 4K UHD TV for under half price, now they have 24 month contract with a telecoms company, not and electronics store which I imagine would be easier to deal with if tv is faulty.

Yes 24 months interest free is nice, but many of the stores offer this too so now this deal is very much less appealing.

I could buy a TV outright easily, i was just almost tempted to go with this deal because of the saving until I found it non-existent. I wonder if anyone else signed on to a 24 month contract due to the savings that were being claimed by the advertiser.

As mentioned it would be in good faith that Spark contacted those customers. I thought the point of this thread was to point out the issue with the advertised RRP to Spark and have them rectify it, which they have done. I’m unsure on what more you want them to do, unless you’re wanting to escalate this for whatever reason you think is going on.

I cant help but find this a tad ammusing to see...

Price drops were sales, jb nl and sony have all gone back to normal pricing...

Quite a big range in pricing though.

Till they go on sale again next week.

What is interesting is Sony has gone up to full RRP which hasn't been a thing since when TV first released, also considering as people said they usually price match the other stores. So maybe the Spark team you got in contact with got them to raise the price due to the bulk purchase Spark must have made.

If anything it just shows how this TV is not worth more than $800.

Raising price on other stores was not sparks doing to be clear.

RRP never changed through this. Just the sale price. As noted thread sonys online store also matches.

Electronics market can be quite variable so its not really a surprise that prices change.
None the less the feedback from the community is much appreciated by the team.

Yeah Sony seems to have changed the price to match JB Hi-Fi now.... What is interesting is now the 55 inch TV is cheaper than both the 49" and the 43".
