Shoes2468:  Putting my 2c in on this also. I’m on an iPhone 8 Plus so not a new device and I’m not sure this is “new” for me. ......

Also watching with interest as Spark 3G data on my Mrs iPhone7 has been non-existent for ever. Thought it was just her phone, but maybe not...? We're in 4g coverage 99% of the time so never bothered trying to sort it out.

Yes, I'm having the same issue from time to time as well. 4G data working fine then phone drops to 3G and no data. Last time i turned 'Mobile Data' off and on again and it came back but only tried that once.

(Another iPhone 12 user in case that is related)

Unlikely to be related to this, so would suggest it's logged as a fault if you have some locations / times when your wife's phone had no service.

over the weekend was on Coromandel specifically Pauanui. 3G worked here fine. Back home Pukekohe it does not. In Howick currently and does not work either. Strange how it worked fine on Pauanui and Whangamata.
Wondering if its certain bands of 3G which arent playing ball?

Hi all - we've made some changes that should hopefully alleviate the problem (my testing seems to be successful so far). If your still having issues with an iPhone12 and 3G data, DM me details / let me know.

I think it is a iPhone 12 issues as I had the issue while in NZ a on both Spark and 2degrees and I notice I have the same issues with Optus here in Australia when my iPhone 12 drops back to 3G the data doesn't always work... I don't have the issues anymore since using my Google Pixel 4a 5G

Cheers Gajan - all working. Only qualm, and don’t know if this started before the loss of data, but the 3G speeds are super-slow, web browsing is manageable, but a Speedtest will timeout. Not too worried as 99% of the time is on 4G. Cheers again

Thanks for the feedback so far - those still having issues, DM me and let me know some details, can take a look. In terms of 3G speeds, the are of course slower than 4G, but we don't do anthing that would limit speed/capability (unless you've exceeded your 'full speed' quotas etc).

3G speeds seem to be ok - guess I’m used to 4G. Speaking of, should 3G not be getting faster since Spark’s 4G network coverage is pretty good? That and 4G device uptake. Kind of like how urban DSL is less congested since people migrate to fibre
