Typed one of the examples wrong but you got it.
Very strange that it didn't allow for the zero to be placed before single digit number or even warn you that it was a invalid input.
Does anyone know if there would there be any issues connecting a Nest Wifi system direct to the ONT with Skinny?
Works fine with Stuff, but don't want to go back to having a modem/router in the middle and this seems like a great deal.
So I am on Bigpipe UFB with a static IP address. The static IP was a one-off charge and I only wanted that as I also use DNS4me for unblocking a couple of websites.
Skinny UFB don't use CG-NAT - Is that correct? And the IP address wont change too often?
I am seriously thinking 6 months 'free' internet on basically the same internet infrastructure and with improved support (if I need it), is too good to ignore.....

Correct - no CG-NAT. But the IP address changes every time you reconnect.

Mentioned possibly changing ISPs and the Mrs went through the roof - "I dont want to have days and days without internet! - Especially with lockdown!".
I suppose there is always the possibility of a screw up... still..... 😟

We quietly released this one a month ago :) Will also mention if you are adding a mobile service (One per account) at the same time, your first two months of mobile base plan charges are also free 😀

Coming back to this.
If I was to switch and break my contract with SF (currently paying half price for gig down 500 up for 6 months then full price after that) this deal with Skinny ends up being more cost effective vs staying with SF.
Downside. I have to give up my ASUS router due to PPPOE performance...
I might be slightly attached to my AX3000 and I can already hear Michael saying get off the ASUS.
Stuff Fibre will not match with any other ISP.
Now I am seriously considering it.

When to make the change today with my Bigpipe billing period starting on the 25th, but the earliest option to arrange the cutover is the 26th which incurs an extra month from Bigpipe. Will wait a few weeks to see what other ISP's offer and then arrange the transfer for 24/11.
Anyone using their own router for Skinny fixed line broadband? What is the setting (e.g. VLAN on or off, PPPOE vs IPoE/DHCP etc)?
The latest promotion is a nice offer, but not too keen to use the provided router. Hate to switch to them and then find out I have to use their provided routers (e.g. do they use MAC address prefix or range to check you are using the provided router?).
Thanks.

I'm in a similar position.
Does anyone know how long the deal will last?

Skinny do not prevent you using a 3rd party router. I'm not saying that they support it, they just don't actively prevent it.
PPPoE with vlan tagging off. PPP username can only contain characters you'd find in an email address (no funky characters).
