johno1234: Nice one. When is the expected delivery?

The order confirmation email says within 5 working days.

Geektastic:

They only had the Ocean band option available online when I looked.

Yes I noticed that too. I think that's probably because the Ocean bands are a single size vs the others in S/M/L and they wanted to keep things simple.

So ... if your iPhone was already on a Spark plan you wouldn't need that additional plan, right? It's only because you want to stay on a different network - Voda/One or 2Degrees as your main phone plan?

Correct I did not have a plan with spark which you need BEFORE you can get the phone addon plan

I got things sorted out at Spark yesterday and the watch is being delivered there.

It is quicker, as I said, and enables them to deal with any setup issues etc when I collect it.

They had no stock in the shop at all.

Has anyone received their AW Ultra from Spark?  I ordered Tuesday morning, never received an email and when I spoke to Spark just then they told me they didn't actually have any in stock and it is on back order - couldn't even give me an ETA.

I contacted them just now and was told its on backorder too as there’s very limited stock apparently. No ETA. I’m wondering if I should cancel and order direct from Apple instead.

Yeah I was quite disappointed when they told me that as it isn't clear from their website that it's just a backorder thing.  Makes it look like they have it in stock.  Went into store and was told the same thing...

I have requested them to give me an eta. If they can’t or if its more than 2 weeks I’ll just order direct from Apple.

I pressed them for an ETA but they couldn't give me one.  Let me know if you get one...  I assume it will be the same as on apple.co.nz (2-3 weeks for that model/band).

Plot twist - received an email from Spark that Ultra is dispatched and also a txt from NZPost that it’ll be delivered tomorrow!

I got the same and double checked with the Spark store that it’s being delivered to them. It is.

Update: I received my Ultra today and set it up. Turned off my phone and am able to make calls! Couldn't be happier!

I collected mine today as well.

It really is something. A lot of the YT reviews I have seen have shown it on people with wrists that must be like twigs in comparison to mine, because it looks just fine when I am wearing it and the reviewers often looked like they had dinner plates strapped to their wrists!

Bottom line - if you can carry off something like a Submariner or Seiko dive watch you can wear this easily.

Received mine today and I second that experience. Not as big as it looks online… ocean band is better than I expected too
